This will be a more specific section focused on resolving doubts regarding regulation in specific countries or communities, such as the prohibition of the use of cryptos in some of those or a possible future regulation of these by large institutions.

The crypto industry breathed an audible sigh of relief when a proposal to ban energy-demanding Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus, which would de-facto outlaw bitcoin (BTC), didn't make it on to the agenda of EU-wide regulation of crypto-assets.

What is your opinion? PoS will end the trajectory of PoW?

Definitely not, at least in the short term. The volume of PoW coins is infinitely greater than that of PoS and until some time has passed this will continue to be the case, unless the regulatory bodies act and implement measures to regulate crypto markets.

In terms of ESG (or environmental, social and governance) has changed the paradigm in investment where millions of investors seek that the companies in which they invest their money are concerned about caring for the environment and society. Within this space, cryptocurrencies would not have a place, since they have always been criticized for excessive energy consumption for mining (PoW). Meanwhile, Ethereum has decided to leave the PoW to move to the PoS... it seems that it is anticipating the rest... Will it be the first of many?
